ACTIFLO® CARB Flyer

To enhance the removal of Natural Organic Matter (NOM), taste and odor, pesticides, and trace pharmaceuticals, the ACTIFLO® CARB process combines the benefits of ballasted clarification with the adsorption capacities of powdered activated carbon (PAC). The PAC recirculation component, that is exclusive to the ACTIFLO® CARB process, enhances adsorption kinetics and maximizes contaminant removal rates. The ACTIFLO® CARB process can improve TOC removal rates by as much as 50% when compared to clarification alone. The purpose of this process is Natural Organic Matter (NOM) removal for disinfection by-products (THM/HAA5) and pesticides compliance.
