Conductivity Sensors/Transmitters
The conductivity transmitters offer an 8-digit, multi-language, digital display featuring automatic temperature compensation, self-diagnosis, filter selection, and a Test Menu for simulating dry run process conditions. They operate on 12-30 VDC, and provide a three-wire 4-20 mA analog output signal. Two optional adjustable 3A relays are available. Transmitters operate in ambient temperatures from 32°F to 140°F, and pressure to 87 PSI. Four sensor probes are offered with sensitivities suitable for media from ultra pure water to concentrated solutions; cell constraints 0.01 and 0.1 are fitted with stainless steel electrodes, and those with cell constants 1.0 and 10 are fitted with graphite electrodes.
The sensor/transmitters are available in local or remote mounting configurations. The local version integrates the conductivity-sensor and a 4-20 mA transmitter with an easy to use digital display/interface in a splash-proof plastic IP65 (Nema 4) enclosure. Remote versions include a separate conductivity sensor and transmitter with digital display.
Remote transmitters are available in panel-mounted or wall-mounted plastic IP65 enclosure versions. Two remote mounting sensor types are available; selection is based on distance of sensor from transmitter. The short distance sensor mounts up to 15 feet from transmitter, the long distance sensor includes a Digital Signal Processor for mounting distances up to 1500 feet from transmitter.
Sensors mount into the process via a specially designed pipe "T" connection. These connections are available in True Union (PVC, PP, PVDF) from ¾ in. to 2½ in. line sizes or Solvent Spigot (PVC, PP, PVDF) slip joints in 1½ in. to 2½ in. line sizes. Stainless steel and Brass pipe "T" connections are available in Weld Ends, Threaded Port (male or female), Flange, or Tri-Clamp fittings in ¾ in. to 2½ in. line sizes.
