The comany has introduced the new cost-effective, two-wire APT2000 CC (Contacting Conductivity) Transmitter, the latest in the company's analytical process transmitter line. The device's large display offers ease of programming and calibrating. Measurements include conductivity, resistivity, and salinity. Easily recognized pictographs provide simple, visual feedback during programming, calibration, and normal operation.

Typical applications include leak detection, quality control, corrosion control, and water purification.

The transmitter has a corrosion-resistant, plastic housing. It has IP65 and European CE ratings and is FM-(pending), CSA-(pending) and CENELEC-approved. The 24 VDC loop-powered device is compatible with the company's existing conductivity cells with the 8550 Ohm thermistor. It may also be used with competitive cells with 100 or 1000 Ohm Platinum RTDs and appropriate cell constants.

The device offers two optional features: the HART communication protocol capability and Intrinsically Safe Approval. The APT2000's conductivity measurement range is 0.0 to 1,000 millisiemens/cm.
