Description

DUR O LOK couplings manufactured by BETE are specified by UOP and have been in use in refining processes for many years. The Typical UOP Applications chart provides a criteria to help select the best DOL material and pipe schedule for each process. The UOP processes take advantage of the special design features of the DOL coupling to reduce maintenance, reduce material costs and reduce space for piping. The following UOP processes use DOL couplings:

  • CCRSM Platforming® process: produces high-octane gasoline or petrochemical precursors
  • C3 Oleflex® process: produces polymer-grade propylene from propane feedstock
  • C4 Oleflex® processes: separate, convert and upgrade C4 olefin streams to produce MTBE, acetylene-free crude butadiene, butene-1, isobutylene and completely saturated LPG
  • Sorbex® processes: separate components from mixtures by liquid-phase adsorption
  • Parex® process: recovers high-purity para-xylene from streams containing xylene isomers and other aromatic and non-aromatic impunities
  • Molex® process: separates paraffins from branched chain and cyclic hydrocarbons
  • MX-Sorbex® process: recovers meta-xylene from streams containing mixed A8 isomers.
