7. Kosmos Energy Announces Rig Contract For Exploration Program

   Kosmos Energy Ltd. (“Kosmos”) announced recently that it has signed a long-term rig agreement with a subsidiary of Atwood Oceanics, Inc. for the new build drillship Atwood Achiever. Currently under construction in South Korea, the rig is scheduled for completion in June of 2014 and expected to commence drilling operations in the second half of 2014. 9. WPX Energy Increases Piceance Basin Drilling

   WPX Energy recently announced that it now plans to employ seven drilling rigs in western Colorado’s Piceance Basin for the remainder of 2013, up from its previously announced five-rig drilling plan. The increased development activity is expected to add an incremental 1.9 billion cubic feet equivalent of production throughout the remainder of 2013, increasing the basin’s exit rate from 701 MMcfe/d to 730 MMcfe/d at year-end
