Heat Exchanger And Condenser: Tube Cleaning

CTI Industries
Over time, tubes retain contaminants from the cooling water. These contaminants accumulate around the inside walls of the tubes and can dramatically reduce their heat transfer efficiency.
Over time, tubes retain contaminants from the cooling water. These contaminants accumulate around the inside walls of the tubes and can dramatically reduce their heat transfer efficiency. Tubes also become clogged with shells, barnacles and other debris. All tubes are cleaned by shooting CTI Jet Brushes through each one with air/water guns. CTI personnel rod out any blockages with Talmac fiberglass rods.

CTI uses their Jet Brush with 612-nylon bristle which are manufactured with a wood dowel or plastic "ram" dowel.

CTI Jet Brushes are then shot through the full length of the tube.

Lastly, the brushes are collected, cleaned and stored for the next operation.
