INOS™ Dry Cake Discharge System provides dry cake discharge by combining both energy-efficient dewatering and thermal drying in a single unit. The design allows for unrestricted, simple maintenance, immediate plant start-up and shut-down, as well as standard utilization of ancillary equipment. INOS™ is capable of treating both inorganic and organic solids (2-40% DS) with fully-controllable output of cakesolids up to 97% DS.
The sequence of operation starts with a conventional filter press, which is followed by a membrane inflation phase using hot water as the membrane inflation media. The combined use of hot water circulation (85oC) behind the membranes and the application of a vacuum via the filtrate manifold, delivers a dry cake at a low temperature in total security.
