ARC S7 is a low VOC, epoxy novolac vinyl ester based coating intended for high temperature exposures in chemically aggressive applications where the risk for thermal cycling may be present. It is highly resistant to a wide range of inorganic as well as organic acids and hydrocarbon based chemical compounds. The product utilizes a unique reinforcement design allowing it to be highly resistant to thermal cycling exposures up to 180°C (355°F) while maintaining its adhesion and resisting cracking, delamination and permeation.
ARC S7 is able to be spray applied via conventional airless spray systems at a wet film thickness of 0,25 - 0,5 mm (10 - 20 mils) per coat. ARC S7 may also be applied by brush and roller, though with reduced film build. It is recommended to be applied in two coats for elimination of holidays and pinholes.
Composition - Polymer/Nano Particle Composite
Matrix - An epoxy novolac vinyl ester resin reacted with a cumene hydrogen peroxide catalyst.
Reinforcement - A proprietary blend of nano-silicone particles for thermal cycling resistance, coupled with a high density reinforcement package for ultimate resistance to immersion exposures where "cold wall" permeation and chemical resistance is required.
Material is comprised of two containers of Part A (14 liters each) and one 500 ml bottle of catalyst.
Recommended for aggressive exposures in a wide range of acid, alkali and hydrocarbon based exposures. Please refer to ARC Technical Services for chemical resistance.
