Refineries

Historically, the refining industry is a major user of direct fired heating equipment. Refineries are the largest suppliers of raw materials to the closely related petrochemical industry and producers of many other petroleum distillates (fuels) for general industry consumption. However, recent environmental initiatives and regulations are affecting both refinery products and their plant operations. Mandated clean fuel requirements, combined with global competition among refineries necessitates the reduction of operating expenses plant-wide, while at the same time maximizing yields and producing environmentally acceptable byproducts. As a result, today's fired heaters must have low maintenance requirements, high energy efficiencies and the ability to adapt to changing processes...precisely the way SFPC has furnished fired heaters for nearly five decades.

Our wide range of direct-fired heaters includes applications for crude heating, vacuum distillation, visbreaking, coking, hydrocarbon catalytic reforming, reboiling, steam superheating and many other related services. SFPC can provide custom furnace designs for virtually any refinery requirement. Our reference base is extensive in application, large in number and diverse in site location. Our capabilities include all phases of project execution, from preliminary feasibility studies - through field erection and start-up.
