Royal Dutch Shell is confirmed as the official host of the 25th Gastech conference and exhibition, taking place 21-24 March 2011 at the Amsterdam RAI, The Netherlands.
"With their complete span of the natural gas industry, Shell make the ideal host for this special ‘silver anniversary' event," says Jason Franks, Managing Director, dmg world media (uk) ltd. "We look forward to a stimulating year of working with them to produce a highly memorable Gastech, addressing the full spectrum of challenges and opportunities facing all elements of the natural gas industry next year."
Peter Voser, CEO, Royal Dutch Shell says: "We are delighted to be hosting Gastech 2011 in The Netherlands. Natural gas is an essential component of a sustainable global energy mix, and vital for meeting increased demand for energy. At Shell, we are growing our natural gas business, so much so that by 2012 gas will account for around half our production. Gastech 2011 provides us with an ideal platform to meet and communicate with our customers and partners from across the global gas industry."
"Shell's views certainly reflect our vision and plans for the development of Gastech. We look forward to welcoming delegates, visitors, speakers and exhibitors from all over the world to what we know will be a highly successful event in the global gas calendar," says Jason Franks.
More than 10,000m² of space has already been booked within the Gastech 2011 exhibition with national pavilions from China, Italy, Norway, Russia, UK and USA. Individual exhibiting companies from more than 30 countries are taking part and include manufacturers and technology and service providers, eager to showcase their capabilities in gas exploration and production, processing, storage and transportation. The Gastech conference programme is currently being developed with the help of a newly formed Governing Body, comprising impartial representatives from a host of international gas-related organisations. A Call for Papers will be published in March 2010. Once again, conference delegates will also enjoy educational features, technical tours and unrivalled business networking opportunities.
