Activated Carbons

Liquid and vapor phase activated carbons are available for the removal of contaminants, odors and color from water and air steams. A wide range of sizes are available in granular, pellet and powdered forms. Both virgin and reactivated carbons can be supplied in these forms. ARTCORP also offers impregnated, acid-washed and specialty carbons. Experienced technical representatives can assist in proper carbon selection. Services include reactivation through a licensed furnace, take back of spent carbon, and carbon column bench studies. On-site carbon change-out is available in most areas. In addition, all carbon is tracked through a formalized quality control program. Certifications can be provided for the fresh carbon furnished and certificates of destruction are available for all carbon processed through the furnace.

Advanced Recovery Technologies provides a wide selection of bituminous coal and coconut shell carbons for the removal of volatile organic compounds. In addition, specialty carbons for the removal of contaminants such as alkaline gases, amines, ammonia, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, sulfur dioxide, ethylene oxide, formaldehyde, mercury, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and others are available. Activated carbon can be supplied in bulk truck shipments, 1000 pound bulk bags, fiber drums or 55 pound bags.
