AP series digital air pressure sensors provide display of air pressure measurement in large 11-mm digits and include open collector outputs for alarm and control. The two-color LED display shows in-range measurements in green and out-of-range measurements in red. Systems are offered for positive or negative pressures or for positive/negative sensing and control. A 1 to 5V analog output can be used to record pressure data for on-line monitoring or later review. Pressures can be displayed in psi, inchHg, mmHg, Pa and bar.

An auto-tuning mode enables the user to set the detection level automatically with two presses of a pushbutton when a target is picked up and released. Upper and lower detection limits can be set to 1 part per 1,000. To alert the operator when the vacuum pad is damaged or clogged, one of the two open collector outputs can be used.

The basic sensor has a front profile of 31 x 33 mm and is 39.5 mm deep. A panel-mounting frame, mounting ring and several mounting brackets are offered. Applications include the detection of minute pressure drops caused by slight leaks between objects to be joined, the detection of leaks caused by cracks and flaws in PET bottles, the monitoring of several lines off a single compressor or vacuum source, and the observation of pressure of screw tightness.
