Alderley FZE Win $29.5 M Contract For KOC Telemetry Project

Alderley FZE, a subsidiary of Alderley plc, announced that they have successfully secured the company’s largest metering order to date having won a contract to provide 22 gas and liquid metering skids for the KOC Telemetry Project in Kuwait. The contract was awarded to Alderley AFZE by South Korea’s Daelim Industrial Co.

Kuwait Oil Company is implementing telemetry systems for monitoring and controlling the majority of the gas and liquid petroleum products pipelines that provide fuel to government and other Consumers Network facilities.

The scope of supply for Alderley includes 10 Gas ultrasonic metering skids, 1 Gas coriolis metering skid, 2 liquid ultrasonic metering skids and 4 liquid coriolis metering skids for use by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). A further 4 liquid coriolis metering skids and 1 off liquid ultrasonic metering skid will be supplied for use by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC). Each of the 22 metering skids will come with the associated controls which will consist of supervisory systems, S600+ flow computers and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). The control systems will be installed in remote temperature controlled control panels using solar and main grid power supplies depending upon their locations.

The systems will be designed, manufactured and tested at Alderley FZE’s facility in Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates. The project will be completed within 14 months of the start date.
