Angle Seat Solenoid Valve

Angle Seat Solenoid Valve
CHEM SHOW '99: The Series 6038 Direct acting angle-seat solenoid valve for use with high temperature steam applications.
CHEM SHOW '99: The Series 6038 Direct acting angle-seat solenoid valve for use with high temperature steam applications. The valve is suitable for applications in the food, chemical, medical, and textile industry for cooling, heating and sterilization. Pressure ranges from 0 to 140 psi and temperatures from 0 to 356 º F are easily handled with the unique compact design.

The valve is available as 2/2 way, normally closed, with a PTFE (Teflon) seal and bronze or a 316 stainless steel body, in port sizes from 3/8 in. up to 1 in. NPT. The company offers an epoxy encapsulated coil with standard voltages of 24V, 120V and 240VAC 50-60 Hz, power consumption of 18 Watts. Coils are available with the standard DIN 43650 connection with the company's wide array of electrical connectors.

The valve does not require a pressure differential to operate. The actuation system consists of a plunger coupled with a seat tube. The valve is held closed by the spring force and the fluid pressure (if any) on top of the plunger. When the coil is powered the plunger attracted and a bore is opened. This causes a pressure relief inside allowing the valve to be fully opened by solenoid actuation.
