APPLICATION: Proving Load Rack meters; gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel

Source: Daniel Industries
Daniel IndustriesROBLEM:
The current method for proving in this terminal is an open neck large volume prover. To prove all meters takes approximately 2-3 days and requires 2 people. Several customers are lost during meter proving due to the time involved in proving and the traffic congestion.

EQUIPMENT:
12" Brooks Compact Prover on a trailer with low pressure braided hoses.

BENEFITS
· Compact Prover allows all terminal meters to be proved in less than one day.
· Due to the dynamics, the Compact Prover can be attached directly to a tank truck and prove the meter under test while filling the tank.
· Terminal maintains customers during proving time because there is NO traffic disruption.
· Compact Prover is a one person operation reducing manpower requirements for proving.
· Reduced uncertainty in proving since there is no meniscus to read.
· Improved environmental safety because of virtually zero emissions of product to atmosphere.
· Improved accuracy and uniformity due to automated calculations and printed proving reports.
