An advanced polymer composite formulated to protect equipment from extreme chemical attack and corrosion. It is typically applied by spray, roller or brush at a nominal thickness of 375 microns (15 mils) per coat in a 2 coat system. Non-shrinking, 100% solids. Colors are Gray and Red.
ARC S4 is an advanced multi-functional composite lining system formulated for ambient and elevated temperature service. It is designed to be spray applied but may also be applied by roller or brush. ARC S4 yields excellent barrier properties for long-term corrosion and chemical resistance in immersion exposures when used in a multicoat application. Cured ARC S4 provides a high gloss surface with unrivaled adhesion and corrosion protection.
Composition - Polymer/Surface Modified
Matrix - A two component, multi-functional, modified epoxy resin, reacted with a modified cycloaliphatic amine curing agent.
Reinforcement - A proprietary blend of surface modified mineral reinforcements designed to provide resistance to permeation, chemical attack and corrosion.
Material is available in two sizes: 4 and 16 liter kits. Each package contains two pre-measured containers (Part A and Part B). A mixing tool, brush and instructions for use are enclosed with the 4 liter kit. The 16 liter kit contains only application instructions.
Based on a 375 microns (15 mils) thickness in a single coat:
4 liters will cover 10.7 sq. meters (113 sq. ft.)
16 liters will cover 42.7 sq. meters (452 sq. ft.)
Recommended for exposure to a wide variety of concentrated chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, potassium hydroxide, and sodium hydroxide and other chemicals. Please refer to the ARC Chemical Resistance Charts for a comprehensive list of chemicals and associated exposure ratings at ambient temperature. Post curing will improve chemical resistance; contact ARC Technical Services for elevated temperature exposure.
