Ashland division introduces ISO-FAST Catalyst 705 for cold box processing

The Foundry Products Division of Ashland Specialty Chemical Company has developed and introduced ISO-FAST™ Catalyst 705, an environmentally friendly and fast-acting catalyst for improved productivity with Ashland's ISOCURE® Cold Box Process. Ashland's new catalyst is available in 55-gallon drums, 110-gallon returnable containers or in bulk shipments.

ISO-FAST Catalyst 705 is one of the fastest tertiary amine catalysts currently available on the market. It features curing efficiency exceeding TEA and similar to that achieved using DMEA catalysts, yet with odor characteristics comparable to or less than occurring with TEA catalysts.

Ashland also offers an amine recovery program in conjunction with ISO-FAST Catalyst 705. For foundries using wet-packed scrubbers for amines, Ashland's ISOCYCLE amine recovery program provides DOT-approved and labeled plastic containers for handling the waste from scrubber solution 705.
