The unique vertical orientation of the new 9000vsa Solids Analyzer from Antek Instruments, Inc. allows the use of an innovative gravity fed solids autosampler
Houston, Texas: July, 2000 - The unique vertical orientation of the new 9000vsa Solids Analyzer from Antek Instruments, Inc. allows the use of an innovative gravity fed solids autosampler. The analyzer performs total nitrogen and/or total sulfur determinations on solid samples in as little as eight minutes. Featuring a temperature programmable inlet furnace, the 9000vsa analyzes solid samples up to 500 mg. The ability to control the rate at which the sample burns permits the analysis of larger solid samples.
The 9000vsa delivers excellent reproducibility and increased productivity by eliminating the repetitive tasks of manual sample introduction. The easy-to-load, gravity fed, pneumatically operated system is controlled by Antek software. Operational parameters can be stored and recalled as needed. For routine operation, simply weigh samples into the solids autosampler carousel, enter sample weights, and press a button to begin analysis of up to 53 samples. A built-in Turbo Sampling System cuts analysis times in half, permits the analysis of higher concentrations, and allows larger sample sizes because samples are burned quickly and completely. The 9000 employs Antek's patented, instrumental detection methods. The system is ideal for automating polyolefin additives analysis.
