AVEVA TO INTEGRATE LISEGA'S LICAD PIPE SUPPORT SELECTION WITH ITS MULTI-DISCIPLINE SUPPORT PLANT DESIGN SOLUTION

March 2nd 2004 -- Cambridge, England -- The product development division of AVEVA Group plc (LSE:AVV), has announced the integration of Lisega's pipe support selection software LICAD, into its May 2004 release of Multi-Disciplined Support (MDS) design application version 4.2. The MDS application is fully integrated with the industry-leading 3D design system VANTAGE PDMS and has been proven on many major engineering projects over the past few years.

The release will feature an integrated bi-directional interface to all LICAD fixed and variable hanger and support configurations. This will enable engineers using MDS to work directly with the LICAD catalogue; producing drawings and purchase orders using data directly from PDMS.

In addition, MDS 4.2 includes new functionality enhancements and standards, like branch reinforcements to supplement over 450 existing support standards and will be compatible with PDMS versions 11.4 and 11.5.

Paul Daynes, Marketing Manager within Global Sales and Services, at AVEVA commented "MDS has been a major success story for us since its formal launch in January 2003, with over 30 customers realising real benefits in its use in critical phases of project completion. The integration with Lisega's LICAD for pipe support selection will bring significant time-savings to all users of this major manufacturer. We see yet more manufacturers' data becoming available through MDS in the not too distant future."

Frank Sarnoch, Project Manager at Lisega commented: "We are very pleased to have the Lisega catalogue available to MDS and PDMS users. The LICAD interface will promote faster completion of the 3D model with optimised pipe support design. Users will also benefit from faster order placement, enabling a much improved supply service to our customers."
