N/A backwash filters provide removal of contaminants or valuable solids from process fluids. The filter's patented crescent-shaped pleat design provides a large surface area and durability to withstand the rigors of automated, high-flow, gas-assisted backwashing.
The uniform, fixed-pore construction of the filter media allows suspended solids to be collected without the use of a filter aid or additive. The filter elements are suitable as pre-filters to reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane systems, in addition to deionization systems.
Available in removal ratings as fine as 0.1 micron, these products can withstand process upsets by maintaining structural integrity through changing influent conditions and repeated backwash cleanings. These filters are available in a variety of media and hardware materials, and are compatible with acids, caustics and solvents at temperatures up to 160° F (71° C).
Applications for these backwash filters include filtration of coolants used in metal-working applications, condensate in nuclear power generation stations, treatment of municipal water and industrial waste water, brine filtration and filtering of produced water used for enhanced oil recovery.
