This bend locator tool is used to locate bends potentially dangerous to pigging operations
This bend locator tool is used to locate bends potentially dangerous to pigging operations. This tool is coupled to and runs in tandem with the geometry tool. A universal cable assembly records the magnitude of the bend deflection. The locator tool can identify and locate 1 * diameter and 3 diameter radius bends. Smaller bends are also recorded and used as benchmarks. This information can be correlated to the geometry survey.
