Bundle Waveguide Technology System uses a single frequency to measure flow rate of liquids and gases in applications where a drift-free and obstructionless measurements are needed.
The system relies on low frequency ultrasonic signals to handle high-viscosity, high molecular weight fluids or fluids containing excessive second-phase bubbles or solids. For high temperatures and high pressure gases, the system uses higher frequencies and greater acoustic energy. It also provides an all-metal, high-temperature, high-pressure seal necessary for gas applications.
The new system consists of Pan-Adapta Plug that uses waveguide bundles to concentrate the ultrasonic signal and a transducer. The plug also acts as a buffer that protects the transducer from high temperatures.
