The line of flanged cast iron safety valves is designed for use with steam, air, and gas systems.

Designated the 119 Series, these heavy duty, high capacity valves offer flow ratings that are National Board certified to ASME Sections I and VIII.

The cast iron valves offer a less costly alternative to steel bodied safety valves in boilers, pressure vessels and pressure piping systems.

The valves feature a top guided design and two control rings to ensure seat tightness, repeatability, and extended service life. Their metal-to-metal seats are lapped to optical flatness.

The valves are produced in eight orifice sizes and 13 inlet/outlet combinations. Flanged inlet sizes range from 1½ in. to 6 in. ANSI 250 lb. Some models are also available with female NPT inlet connections. All models feature a rust-proof steel stem, spring, and spring washers.

With their high flow rates and competitive face to face dimensions, these new valves simplify replacement of existing valves. Each valve is factory tested and sealed to prevent unauthorized adjustment. A test lever allows manual operation when the system pressure reaches at least 75% of the nameplate set pressure.

Available options include stainless steel wetted trim for severe applications, and cast iron drip pan elbows for safe and efficient connection of the safety valve and to the discharge piping.
