Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SI), and Puckorius & Associates, Inc. are pleased to announce a workshop on Cooling Water Corrosion and Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC) technology to be held October 13-14, 1999 in San Jose, California.

This workshop focuses on the control of corrosion, MIC, and deposits in cooling water systems. It is a practical, down-to-earth workshop full of helpful suggestions on identifying and controlling all forms of corrosion. The workshop provides unbiased technical/practical information that students can use at their facility or with their people. Group and one-on-one assistance will also be provided for solving and preventing corrosion, MIC, and fouling problems in cooling water systems.

Participants at prior workshops have included unit operators, engineers, chemists, technical management and supervisory personnel for industrial, commercial & institutional users of water. The workshop is designed for the end-user and is a practical seminar – not a theoretical/academic discussion. An extensive reference manual will be given to each attendee. This manual has been prepared for the practical decision-maker and will provide valuable operating information and directions on how to approach cooling water corrosion and MIC problems. Participants are encouraged to bring any related problems to the workshop. The instructors will use them as sample problems and try to solve them, using the methods and techniques introduced during the workshop.
