Cooper Cameron Corporation Acquires Orbit Valve
Cooper Cameron Corporation has closed its acquisition of Orbit Valve International, Inc. for approximately $100 million. Orbit, based in Little Rock, Ark., manufactures and sells high-performance valves for the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. According to a statement from Cooper Cameron, Orbit generated revenues of approximately $85 million in 1997.
Cooper Cameron Corporation manufactures oil and gas pressure control equipment, including valves, wellheads, chokes, blowout preventers and assembled systems for oil and gas drilling, production and transmission used in onshore, offshore and subsea applications. Cooper Cameron is also a leading manufacturer of gas turbines, centrifugal gas and air compressors, integral and separable reciprocating engines, compressors and turbochargers.
