CHEM SHOW '99: The Cryolab CV8 vacuum jacketed cryogenic valve series is engineered for use in liquid hydrogen, helium, oxygen and nitrogen systems. The body and Kel-F seat configuration is a time-proven combination employing a sharp edge on a tapered seat, while the top works incorporates the advantages of low heat loss technology with the reliability of industrial hardware and total component accessibility through the bonnet flange.

Double bonnet seals and stem packing are used in every valve with Viton® for its absolute sealing quality and insensitivity to age, backed up with a Teflon seal to insure leak tight performance even in the most severe cryogenic applications. Leak rates less than 10-7 std cc GHe/sec are standard.

The bonnet is axially bolted for complete compression of the Teflon seal and can be supplied for use in a horizontal position. Stem threads are Acme type made of stainless steel mated to a brass bushing in the bonnet to eliminate galling and assure year of smooth operation.

The CV8 offers the versatility of many operator/positioner options with variations of special trims and accessories common to the control valve industry.

The valves are available in tube and pipe sizes from ½ in. through 4 in. and in globe, right angle and "Y" pattern configurations. The valves can also be supplied in a "cold box" trim with abbreviated jacketing to customer's requirements and with bonnet purge ports.
