The DL421 is the first of a series of DirectLine sensors. The DL421 is a unique type of pH measurement that combines the latest in microelectronics technology with the proven performance of Durafet II solid state pH sensors. The result is a sensor that provides exceptional savings during installation, start-up, operation, and maintenance.

Key features include integral electronics with local HMI, modular plug-in construction, local display and keypad, and self-diagnostics. Also available is a remote-mounting configuration for electrode submersion or special mounting applications.

The DL421 output connects directly to the input of any host monitor or control device that accepts a standard 4-20mA analog input and provides external loop power, including the company's UDC3300 ¼ DIN controller, UMC800 hybrid controller, VRX video recorders, PLCs with analog inputs, DCS systems, and a variety of other recorder/controller products. The electronics module quickly attaches to the sensor and easily locks in place for safety and reliability during operation.

The module provides display, configuration, and calibration capabilities in an IP66-rated enclosure. The output (loop) cable is a standard shielded twisted pair. Nominal power range is 24 Vdc. Displayed temperature range is -10 to +110 degrees C (+14 to + 230 degrees F).
