Enardo offers a wide variety of Inline and Free Venting flame arrestors. All models are designed to inhibit flame propagation by absorbing and dissipating heat using spiral wound crimped metal ribbon flame cell element. They provide maximum flow with a minimum amount of pressure drop across the element. Connection sizes range from 3/4 inch up to 36 inches.
Series 7 Inline Flame Arrestor
The Series 7 models are designed to prevent the propagation of flame through venting systems under specified conditions. The element assembly is easily removed for maintenance or replacement while maintaining the piping integrity. Installation can be vertical or horizontal, within 20 pipe diameters or a maximum of 20 feet with one bend before the potential ignition source for group "D" gases.
Construction: Carbon steel, aluminum, or stainless steel housing with aluminum or stainless steel element. Special materials and protective coatings are available on request. Elements are available for Group B/C and D gases.
High Pressure Deflagration Arrestor
High Pressure Deflagration Flame Arrestors surpass standard flame arrestor performance in applications involving extended lengths of pipe with one bend, elevated operating pressures, and extended flame stabilization on flame cell element. These units can be installed vertically or horizontally. Elements are available for group B/C and D gases.
Construction: Standard: Carbon steel with 304 S.S. elements. Optional: Other stainless steels, exotic materials, and protective coatings, on request.
Free Vent Flame Arrestors
Designed to allow free venting in combination with flame protection for vertical vent applications. Prevents flame propagation by absorbing and dissipating heat using spiral wound crimped ribbon flame cells, allowing maximum flow with maximum protection.
Construction: Housing is aluminum, carbon steel or stainless steel. The cell element is available in aluminum or stainless steel.

Enardo Design
The Enardo design represents the best value in flame arrestor protection. Detonation Flame Arrestors provide protection against flame propagation in piping systems that are manifolded or have long run-up distances. Enardo utilizes a patented element assembly that dampens the high velocities and pressure associated with deflagrations and detonations, while quenching the flame front. Our design is unique in the ability to provide larger flame channels which require less frequent maintenance and greater ease in cleaning when service is required, translating to less down time. Our patented element offers maximum flow to pressure drop characteristics, enhancing the value of our product to any system.
Proven Performance
These arrestors are bidirectional and are proven to stop an ignited flammable vapor mixture approaching from either direction that can be traveling at subsonic or supersonic velocities. Our models have been tested to the U.S. Coast Guard Standard as published in the Federal Register; Appendix A to 33 CFR Part 154 to NEC gas group types D, C, and B. Additionally, they are recognized by and tested to international standards; Canadian Standard Association (CSA) Z343 Rv. 12, British Standard Institute (BSI) 7244: 1990, and German Standard Physikallisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB).
