Flow Scanner

N/Anner 1140C with integral sensors and communications options provides a complete low-cost calculation system able to send flow information to a computer or network. In addition to local download capability, 1140C options include cellular, phone line, radio, or satellite communication. The 1140C allows companies to manage natural gas contracts, balance pipeline operations, and monitor equipment without traveling to remote sites to collect data.

The Barton Scanner Support Group works with customers to determine the best communications option for a particular application. Among the factors considered are accessibility of the measurement site, existing communications systems such as phone lines, whether radio towers and cellular service are within range, possible interference from geographic obstructions or weather patterns, and the relative costs associated with each technology.

The same communications options are available in configurable kits to fit any Scanner Series Measurement RTU. The Scanner Support Group can also configure separate communications in NEMA rated enclosures and mounting systems for installations where hazardous gases may be present. Solar Battery Operation. Where local power is unavailable, the Scanner and its communications devices can be powered with a solar recharged battery system
