The variable orifice is modulated by the float which provides a smooth, even flow without high velocity discharge or steam loss. The continuous condensate discharge follows load requirements with precision and eliminates spikes in equipment performance associated with mechanical trap technologies that require a linkage. While it is rated to 600 PSIG, it will perform equally well at low pressures (less than 20 PSIG) and a wide variety of orifice selections offer excellent flexibility in trap sizing.

Quick startup is provided by the standard stainless steel thermostatic element which vents air and non-condensible gases quickly, without subcooling, eliminating the need to bypass or waste energy by atmospheric venting. A stainless steel liner in the discharge port eliminates body erosion and its integral stainless steel strainer is the largest in the industry. The cast steel body is available in threaded, socketweld, #300 flange and #600 flange connections in sizes ½ in. to 2 in. Reliable performance is assured by a three year warranty.
