Gas Equipment Group Acquires Windrock, Inc.

Houston, TX - The Gas Equipment Group of Dover Corporation has acquired Windrock, Inc., a manufacturer of monitoring and diagnostic equipment for reciprocating machinery in the gas, oil, petrochemical, marine and power generation industries. Founded in 1989, Windrock is based in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Windrock engineers, manufactures and distributes portable analyzers and online monitoring systems. The company also provides on-site and remote analysis services, emission testing services, training services and extended service contracts. Windrock analyzers and systems collect and process a variety of information, such as dynamic engine/compressor pressure, vibration, ultrasonic data and other parameters that are used to assess the mechanical condition of machinery and optimize unit performance and maintenance practices. Windrock has been a dominant supplier of portable analyzers, as well as an innovator in the development of online monitoring systems for reciprocating engines and compressors.

According to S. ‘Soma' Somasundaram, President of the Gas Equipment Group: "We are pleased to add Windrock to the suite of products and services we offer to customers in the various segments of the energy industry. Windrock enjoys a long-standing reputation for quality products and superior customer support, with a customer base that includes global leaders in energy and other industries".

"The use of monitoring and diagnostic systems, especially online versions, has increased rapidly in recent years as machinery operators seek to maximize machinery availability, comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations, improve safety, reduce maintenance costs and protect assets," added Somasundaram.

Steve Follmar, President of Windrock, Inc. adds, "We are excited to be part of the Gas Equipment Group and the Dover family. Windrock's products and services compliment the Gas Equipment Group's core competencies, and the combination of these capabilities in one organization will allow us to create some exciting new business solutions for our customers in the future."
