Immersion Heater Packages

The new intelliTHERM is a series of 2 ½" screw plug immersion heater packages with integral closed loop control. With this product, users of screw plug heaters have digital control and diagnostics at the point of use. The device's control panel, which includes a 1/16 DIN (1.77"x1.77" panel cutout) temperature controller, AC transformer, contactor and disconnect switch, can be directly mounted on the heater or remotely installed, according to application needs. Local mounting of the controller saves space by eliminating the need to install and wire to a remotely mounted controller. When mounted on a horizontal heater, the control panel display faces upward for easy reading by maintenance personnel.

The product is equipped for Type "J" thermocouple input. It also has built-in load sensing that provides a warning if the heater is not performing at its specified level due to problems, such as a drop in voltage, or one or more elements having an open circuit. Other features include:
