The 10260A industrial actuator provides rotary modulation of final control devices, such as valves and dampers

The 10260A industrial actuator provides rotary modulation of final control devices, such as valves and dampers. This actuator uses a non-contact position sensor connected to the actuator's output shaft to accurately measure shaft position. This method of position sensing eliminates hysterisis and maintenance shutdowns.

With an electric motor that starts and stops instantaneously, this actuator prevents overshoot and hunting. The motor control and positioning electronics enable positioning accuracy of 0.2% of span or better. Another feature is a self-locking/releasing gear train which, upon loss of power, maintains shaft position against a back-driving force of more than two times the rated output torque.

Typical applications include furnace pressure dampers, fuel/air ratio valves, windbox dampers, and coal mill dampers. These applications are commonly found in the power generation, steel, glass, aluminum, and process steam generating industries.
