Industrial Scientific Increases Sensor Offerings In GasBadge Pro Single Gas Monitor

N

Pittsburgh - Industrial Scientific Corporation, a leader in gas detection and monitoring instruments, systems and related services, enhanced its full-featured, "dockable" GasBadge Pro single gas monitor recently by introducing an electrochemical hydrogen (H2) sensor option. This option will provide an ideal personal monitor to detect hydrogen in the range of 0-2,000 parts per million (PPM) in power plants, steel mills, refineries or other areas where low level hydrogen leaks may exist.

Providing a lifetime of gas hazard protection with more features than any single gas monitor available, GasBadge Pro can be quickly adapted with interchangeable "smart" sensors. It can monitor unsafe levels of oxygen or any one of the following additional toxic gases: ammonia, carbon monoxide, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, phosphine and sulfur dioxide.

Each GasBadge Pro monitor carries a lifetime warranty and comes standard with STEL and TWA readings, datalogging of up to one year of survey data, and an event-logger that records the past 15 alarm events. The monitor is compatible with the award-winning DS2 Docking Station and iNet Monitoring Service to further simplify and automate calibration, function (bump) testing and data management.

The large, LCD display includes a backlight for clear visibility in low-light conditions, and international graphic symbols for easy operation. The GasBadge Pro can be configured to display gas readings in percent by volume or in parts per million, and is capable of showing both gas type and direct gas readings, or just the gas type. The instrument's four-button interface provides intuitive navigation and setup, which can be password-protected for added security.
