Looking Ahead: Treatment Plant Counts On Trusted Supplier For Latest Technology
For the Lake County Public Water District, choosing a filtration solution for the future wasn’t hard. All they had to do was look back on the last 50 years.
The District has opted to install Leopold's Type 360 Underdrain filtration system to process 6.5 million gallons of drinking water per day for neighboring communities. The groutless underdrain is bolted in place and allows service to individual laterals. The underdrain has a self-cleaning system, reduces backwash water consumption and increases filter run times. The Type 360 Underdrain is an upgrade from the district's previous system which each performed for 25 years before being upgraded. The district opted for the latest system to reduce maintenance and increase reliability for the long term.
