MemPulse™ Submerged Membrane Bioreactor Systems
The MemPulse™ membrane bioreator (MBR) system from Siemens is a unique wastewater treatment process that combines a single sludge aerobic biological treatment process with an intergrated, immersed membrane system.
The MemPulse™ membrane bioreator system (MBR) from Siemens Water Technologies is a unique wastewater treatment process that combines a single sludge aerobic biological treatment process with an integrated, immersed membrane system. This process is ideally suited in a wide range of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment applications including water reuse, new housing developments, parks and resorts, retrofits and turnkey projects.
This is a single-sludge activated treatment process that handles liquid/solids separation on a molecular scale. The process represents the union of two native Siemens technologies.
The mixing system is designed to transport dissolved air and mixed liquor uniformly and positively around and across microfiltration modules. These membrane modules have been adapted by Siemens’ MEMCOR Products to withstand the rigors of continuous immersion in activated sludge.
The result is an efficient, trouble-free advanced wastewater treatment process producing high quality effluent.
