Micromax 2 is an integrated control system providing loop and logic functions combined with strong data acquisition features for small to medium-sized batch and continuous processes. Micromax 2 consists of two major parts: a hardened, NEMA 4 - enclosed field controller (Local Processing Unit) which connects to the process, and a selection of user interfaces (Management Station, Factory Floor Operator Station, Local Station, and PC-based software) to interface to one or more LPU's on an RS-485 network. Built-in features streamline process configuration, operator interface, and data acquisition formatting, lowering installation costs.
Typical applications involve a mixture of process control, PLC, and data acquisition. They include metals processing (heat treat furnaces including atmosphere and vacuum), glass/ceramic (furnaces, lehrs, tunnel/periodic kilns), primary metals (reheat, annealing furnaces), utilities (water chemistry data acquisition), specialty chemical/pharmaceutical (batch reactors, dryers) ,textiles (dye becks), and government (climatic test chambers).
