The Models 6411 and 6414 Flow Computer Units are specifically designed for pulse input installations where features and low cost are of concern. The series 6400 Flow Computer Units offer features that can be used for gas flow measurement, site automation, and data acquisition on pulse metering facilities. A gauge pressure only version of the 6411/6414 is also available. Additionally, Models 6410 and 6413 are available for orifice metering.

Model 6411: Is optimized for lowest installed cost for those users that do not require communications at the time of installation. A communications module can be installed later along with a remote communications device housed in a separate Model 6470 enclosure.

Model 6414: Fits installations that require an integrated enclosure that houses the Flow Computer Unit and remote communications devices.

The 6411 and 6414 are designed for the distribution and transmission industries where pulse type meters are used. Each is powered by internal batteries and is charged by a solar panel for remote unattended operation. Additional charging systems are available in 120 VAC and 24 VDC configurations. The unit can be powered directly by DC voltages from 12 to 16 volts. The static pressure transducer is housed in a sheilded environmentally protected enclosure. This transducer enclosure is mounted inside the main electronics compartment and is certified and calibrated at our factory before shipment (see pg 2). Installation can be as simple as mounting the unit on site and programing the correct parameters such as ID, location, etc., using a MSDOS hand held (PCCU) or a laptop computer running Totalflow emulation software.

In addition to basic flow computer I/O (PI, AP, Tf), the standard hardware includes: two analog inputs, two digital outputs, and 1 state input configurable as either digital input or high speed pulse accumulator input.

Communications are modular and are user selectable for RS232 and or RS485/422. Communications throughput is rated at up to 19,200 bps.

Full audit trail, system configuration, alarms, and flow files are provided, which exceed industry standards.

The series 6400 Flow Computer Units can of course be installed into an existing Totalflow system.
