Models 8000 / 8100 Btu / CV Transmitter
With a frequency selected by the user, a natural gas sample is extracted from a flowing pipeline, transported to the analyzer, processed for particle removal and phase integrity, injected onto the chromatographic columns where component separation occurs. The individual components are quantified and the calculations such as heating value, etc. are done. The sample is then vented and results are stored in memory and communicated to other devices as needed.
The Btu/CV Transmitter analyzes each sample utilizing established chromatographic techniques. The resulting information consists of mole percent values for the following:
C1 CO2 C2 C3 IC4 NC4
NeoC5 IC5 NC5 C6+
The Btu/CV Transmitter measures a C6+ peak. Users may input the results of a comprehensive lab analysis that reflects the split or ratio of C6 through C10 components. This ratio can be used in subsequent analysis and energy calculations.
Calculated values include:
- Relative Density (Specific Gravity)
- Btu/CV Value
- GPM (gallons of liquid per thousand cubic feet)
- Wobbe Index
