The Model 1281 is a computer-controlled multiplexer with eight channels for use with a laboratory potentiostat /galvanostat. It can sequence a potentiostat to any of eight different test cells for high performance multichannel testing and automated monitoring. This multiple-sample capability increases the productivity of costly instrumentation and sample throughput.
The product is suitable for such applications as corrosion studies, coatings research, impedance studies, sensor development, and battery research. AC and DC performance is provided for a wide range of measurement capabilities, and a GPIB command set is included for custom applications. The device is furnished with eight potentiostat modules to allow control of electrode potential when a cell is disconnected from the main lab potentiostat/galvanostat. The 16 bit D/A converter in the potentiostat modules allows accurate control over a wide range of potentials in 1 millivolt steps.
