CHEM SHOW '99: The Type 8031 inline, paddle-wheel flow sensor built with Hall sensor is for continuous low-flow measurement and dosing applications with clean or corrosive, solid-free liquids.

These compact inline flow sensors are specifically designed with chemically inert wetted parts of Halar/Saphire/FPM or EPDM for use in aggressive liquids. Unit housing material, magnets, inline fittings, and paddle wheel are made entirely of plastic (Halar or Viton); with axis and bearings made of Saphire. The sensors are suitable for monitoring applications in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, and Water Treatment industries. Optimum batch-control applications include chemical dosing and filling systems.

The sensor requires a 12-24 vdc input and produces a frequency signal output, proportional to the flowrate which can be easily transmitted and processed. Output signal rate ranges from 0 to 780 Hz at high flow. Electrical termination is No. 22 AWG delivered with 3 feet jacketed 3-conductor wire.

The sensors are available with G¼ in. process connection. Two flow ranges are offered- a very low2.6 GPH to 40 GPH and 5.3 GPH to 160 GPH. Sensors provide flow rate accuracy within 2% at temperatures up to 175° F. Maximum fluid pressure is 70 PSI.

The sensors are PLC-compatible and specifically designed for connection with the company's Type 8025 low-flow transmitters.
