PE-pipe/-coupling Connectors

RG(r) connectors butt-fuse onto ends of polyethylene pipe fittings allowing their mechanical joining with roll-grooved couplings. The arrangement allows connecting and disconnecting PE pipe lengths for rapid deployment. The patented connector's sleeve is mechanically fixed by a series of 3/8-in-thick, black-pipe-grade PE one-inch-diameter buttons. The buttons are side-wall heat-fused around the circumference onto the PE pipe through holes in the stainless-steel roll-grooved sleeve. An O-ring between the polyethylene pipe and stainless steel sleeve ensure a seal. Available sizes are 3 through 24 inches The SDR 11 connector has been tested for 1000 hours without leak or failure at 160 psi. Recommended uses include dredging, water, corrosive-waste, and fly-ash lines.
