Portable Gas Chromatograph Launched

Waltham, MA – Photovac, Inc., a provider of hand-held and portable instruments for detection and measurement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), announced the sale of the new PetroPRO™ high-speed portable gas chromatograph to three large domestic corporations. Among others, ExxonMobil, Marathon Oil Corporation, and Syngenta have specified the purchase of the PetroPRO, expressly designed for accurate, rapid screening of common VOCs on site.
The PetroPRO is designed for high-speed analysis of BTEX and incorporates proprietary valve technology to increase the resolution of GC peaks and speed of analysis. An extremely linear and accurate photoionization detector reports sample concentrations from low PPB up to hundreds of parts per million (PPM). The PetroPRO can analyze benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and m-xylene (BTEX) compounds in less than two minutes down to parts per billion (PPB) levels.
Jim Norgaard, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Photovac, said, "Photovac has a well-established reputation as the professional's choice for VOC detection instruments. To be chosen over many competitors in the sale of the PetroPRO is a true testament to the quality and superiority of our products and services."
