PR-O3-M process refractometer is designed to measure liquid concentrations in chemically aggressive solutions that corrode, four or otherwise destroy metal parts. Its applications find use in chlor-alkali, semiconductor and ultra-pure fine chemical processes where metal parts cannot be employed.

The refractometer determines the Refractive Index of the process solution with an accuracy of +/- 0.0002 R.I (corresponding to +/- 0.1% by weight). The output signals are 4 to 20 mA proportional to the process concentration. In addition, a serial output signal (RS 485 or RS 232) is available as standard.

This system selects Teflon, Kynar, Sapphire (AI203), Kalrez and Spinel chemically and mechanically resistant non-metal wetted parts. The ambient materials AISI 316 L (sensor cover) and polyamid 6.6 (electrical connector) withstand chemically aggressive gases and splashes of the process liquid.

The measurement accuracy is not influenced by particles, bubbles, colour or temperature changes in the process liquid.
