Filters have traditionally been rated with meaningless "Nominal" ratings; these don't indicate the filters ability to control any specific size particle.
The BETA rating for the PREMO PLUS filters,BETA3=75, means that for every 75 particles of 3 microns or larger, only one passes through. This 3 micron absolute filter is 98.7% efficient. Typical paper lube filters allow harmful 10 micron and larger particles to pass, unfiltered, through your hydraulic system.
