Quality Assurance of CO2 On-Line

Houston, Texas: May, 2000- The TQACO2 from Antek Industrial Instruments is the only turn-key system for quality assurance of CO2. Sulfur content in CO2 has considerable impact in several industries including food, beverage, and semiconductor production. "Sniff tests" and "tape tests" are often specific for only certain sulfur compounds. Other sulfur species such as carbonyl sulfide (COS) are not detected by these tests. Antek's system uses Pyro-fluorescentT sulfur analysis, a fast and accurate quantitation method. It provides sulfur determinations for an analytical range of 25 ppb to percent levels. This clean instrumental method is more stable than lead acetate tape methods, without their consumables or lead waste disposal problems. The TQACO2 is a complete analyzer package with a single operating data system. Gas suppliers and bulk CO2 users can now generate their own load report, to show compliance with specifications. The TQACO2 can be configured to analyze for total sulfur, total nitrogen, total hydrocarbons, moisture, oxygen, or benzene.
