Quarter-Turn Ball Valves

CHEM SHOW '99: The company offers a series of Quarter-Turn Ball Valves to complete their existing family of process oriented valve types that include angle seat and diaphragm valves. The new ball valves offer a choice of manual, pneumatic and electrical actuation. These valves operate in process applications 248° F and 230 psi, and excel in neutral gases and fluids, ultrapure water, slightly aggressive fluids, and slightly contaminated liquids. Typical applications include water treatment, ozone systems, slow processes and tank farming in beverage and pharmaceutical industries as well as chemical and dyeing industries and on textile machines.

Valve bodies are available in three-piece and two-piece designs. The three-piece valve body features a two level sealing system to provide superior tightness during temperature and pressure variations. It also allows the changing of valve seat without body removal from pipeline. The more economical two-piece valve body performs in applications having fewer fluid pressure and temperature fluctuations, and features a blow-out proof stem design. Bodies are stainless steel and available in ¼ in. to 2 in. port sizes.

The system is completed with a choice of a wide range of optional pilot valves for the operation of the pneumatic actuator, a compact position feedback device, or the company's Top Controller for On/Off or continuous control functions.
