Designed specifically for film, special effects, and animation houses, the RAX HD Animation Recorder works "second shift" to harvest, sequence, and storyboard frames for quick and easy review in real-time. It then goes one step further, delivering real-time output and conversion to multiple resolutions and to multiple, Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) HD formats. The device also provides pre-output review of content with true-to-concept spatial and color fidelity, allowing producers to see how the final content will look before committing to film or tape. It streamlines workflow for users by offering the functionality of a DDR (digital disk recorder), a storyboard editor, and multiple format conversion devices in a single unit, while offering labor-saving features such as automated preparation of dailies and other tasks.
