Rodney Cason Named VP, Refining for Tesoro Alaska
Tesoro Alaska Petroleum Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tesoro Petroleum Corp. (San Antonio, Texas), has announced that Rodney Cason, 48, has been promoted to vice president, refining.
"Rod's leadership and technical knowledge have proved to be of tremendous value in directing our refinery and its talented staff," said Stephen L. Wormington, president of Tesoro Alaska. We will be able to make greater use of his expertise in this new position."
Cason joined Tesoro Alaska in 1976 and served in several staff positions of increasing responsibility at Tesoro's Kenai Peninsula refinery before being named general supervisor in 1984. He was operations superintendent in 1986 before becoming refinery manager in early 1997.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas.
