CHEM SHOW '99: The KDPH Series of rotary screw dry vacuum pumps extends the company's KDP series dry vacuum pump offerings and meets the needs of customers for a dry vacuum pump with low internal gas temperatures, low power consumption and compact size.

The pump features a high volume, efficient screw design capable of ultimate pressures to 0.04 Torr (40 microns) and is available in two models with capacities of 140 cfm and 200 cfm.

The screw design of the series provides the benefits of a single stage swept screw action while also reducing internal gas temperatures by 200 degrees F versus conventional Screw and Multi-Stage Dry Vacuum Pumps. Lower internal operating temperatures allow a wider range of dry vacuum applications and reduce wear on the mechanical seals and bearings.

Because the pumps do not have any metal-to-metal contact between the screws or the screws with the casing, no oil is used in the pumping chamber and the operation is environmentally clean. With fewer parts, the KDPH series simplifies maintenance and reduces maintenance costs.
